The only thing constant is change

. . . so I decided to paint a few landscapes instead of portraits.

I think I'll do a few more.  I'm going to work on loosening up my style a bit more, too.

Today our sky here in southwestern Wisconsin is hazy and smelly from the smoke of a huge fire in the gorgeous Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of Northern Minnesota.  It amazes me that we can smell the smoke over 500 miles away.  (You can read about it here and here, if you're interested.)

My heart goes out to all the people and creatures who are impacted by the many wildfires around the country and the world.

"It is your concern
when your neighbor's wall is on fire."

I can see Van Gogh coming on, there so beautiful!
Hope you have a brilliant summer! We're still having some warm days here, but can feel it wishes to move on. So lapping up as much as I can.
Your paintings share so much lazy dreamy days! So bright and carefree.

Oh my goodness !
What a talented artist you are.
These are beautiful paintings of Autumn.

Oh yes, paint some more and be kind enough
to share them with us.

Gosh I have not painted in a very long time
you make me want to pick up a brush again.

applause, applause.

Beautiful paintings Angela! I'd love to walk that field up to the old barn...treasures await there I'm sure! :)

I live in Southern Wisconsin and yesterday you could smell a bit of smoke but didn't see any actually. Today there is much cloud cover so I wouldn't be able to tell if there was.

I too started praying yesterday...as with any element, it can be a destructive force of Mother Nature. I pray the winds calm down so the firefighters can do their jobs.
