Life, and other distractions
Hello there! Regular blogging here has taken a back seat lately, but I'll be back again soon.
It's been a busy time here. A few weeks ago Mr. C and I took a few days to welcome Spring in Wisconsin's beautiful Door County. The trilliums (literally trillions of them!) were in bloom everywhere. It was a glorious sight to see! We stayed in a lovely inn with a fabulous view of the bay, and I couldn't resist taking lots of pictures of the many moods of the water.
My #1 child is off on another exciting adventure abroad, so I've been helping with all the preparations. I'm always a nervous wreck until everyone is settled in again, and I find it difficult to sit still to paint or stitch or work on the computer much during such times. So I've been spending most of my limited computer time on Pinterest and tumblr where I love looking at and gathering together images and words of wisdom. I'm really enjoying Pinterest. I know I'm rather late in getting an account there, but I'm finding that I really like having the ability to create individual boards, and putting everything I love into neat little categories. It feeds my hunter/gatherer soul! I've been on Facebook a bit, too, so stop by any of those sites if you get the chance. I'd love to see you there!
I'll be part of a self-portrait show called "In Your Face" at the Art*Bar in Milwaukee in June, which I am *super-excited* about. One of my self-portraits will be on display with those of several other Southeastern Wisconsin artists. I feel so honored that I was asked to participate!
I'll try to take some pictures of the opening and let you know more about it all as soon as I can.
In the mean time, I hope you all have a wonderful week. I'll try to get back to more regular art-making, blogging and visiting blogs again as soon a life settles down a bit.
Thanks for stopping by!
